The blocks thing (codenamed "Gutenberg") is not part of the theme but of the latest update (5.0) of WordPress itself. Good news is that you can disable it completely and get the old editor back by installing the "Classic Editor" plugin: https://wordpress.org/plugins/classic-editor/

I feel smart for even finding this immensely useful tool-kit. Entirely not just a "theme", but a world of opportunity, entirely! I wasted the better part of 10 hours researching "pro" plugins and themes. Little did I know that this, along-side a few other clever tools would bring such unity! My only complaint is that it very quite tidious deleting the many useless themes I had the displeasure of testing before this final conclusion to my kit. THANK YOU, PLEASE TAKE MY MONEY. I used to be working with WP Themes for some years now. Blackoot Pro is the best theme I've ever been testing. By far!! It comes with everything you need (and more). It does not require huge CSS skills. It is mobile ready. It looks good even with its standard options. And it is by the same time very flexible regarding the look and feel of your very own site. And Iceable Themes do provide good and substantial support. I also appreciate the idea of paying it once but using it on as many WP sites I like. Thumbs up!! Five stars!!

Blackoot stuck out to me when I first came across it. I'd been looking for a theme that allows for a nice compact box layout, and this was the perfect match. It also allows for a wide layout and different options for the page width. The pro version offers so many easily customizable features. It even includes a shortcode (among many others) to integrate blog posts into a static page, which is not something I found in any other themes by other authors. Usually, I would have to resort to plugins or trying to edit theme files, which did not end up looking neat at all. This theme takes care of everything for you. Installation was easy and the support is amazing!! If you're on the line about getting it, let me tell you it's worth every penny and more.

I did have a few issues with my download but I believe it was on my side with my server. The support here was outstanding, I am more than happy with the speed in which they addressed my need for help and they were able to fix the issues for me that I was unable to address with the templet. I will be a loyal customer and when it is time to rebrand I will come here first for my template! Love my design!

I have been using the Blackoot Pro theme for a few weeks now. After buying a number of very expensive "premium" themes (newbie) I discovered that it is a lot of hard work to get your site to resemble the live previews and that almost all of them tie your functionality into plugins. If you ever want to change themes, you will either have to buy these again as standalone plugins, or you will lose a lot of your hard word when changing theme. Not so with the Blackoot Pro theme. It has most of the functionality I need, plays well with the other plugins I'm using and is easy to configure (even for a newbie)... The Blackoot theme worked out of the box, and it was easy to get it to look they way I wanted. When upgrading to the Pro version, I had some server issues, and the author of the theme helped me sort them out - even though there was nothing wrong with the theme. To me, that level of support alone is worth 5 stars. The fact that the theme just works, is icing on the cake 🙂
