    Validating license

    Paul Gray

I have setup my site on runhosting, when attempting to validate my pro license I get the following error:

An error occured while trying to contact the API. cURL error 7: Failed to connect to 2400:cb00:2048:1::681b:871c: Network is unreachable

What can I do to troubleshoot this error?

    Thanks in advance

I would first just try again in case this was just a temporary issue. If it persists then you will need to contact your host: they either have something wrong, or they impose some firewall restrictions that prevents your installation from contacting our server.
In either case, they can either fix the issue for you or whitelist our server so your site can reach it.

For reference, the license validator and update checker for the theme needs to reach our API at, and it uses the WordPress core function wp_remote_get() ( ) to call it.

If you need to contact your host, you may also check with them the requirements for WordPress itself while you are at it, to prevent running into further issues:

To run WordPress we recommend your host supports:
    PHP version 7 or greater
MySQL version 5.6 or greater OR MariaDB version 10.0 or greater
    HTTPS support

I contacted the host who has adjusted their firewall settings. All seems to be working now. Thanks for the support.
