I’ve enabled the slide feature on my about page, created a category and added 2 Vimeo links to that category. One video shows up in the header slide and the navigation buttons appear but don’t trigger any sliding action. I’d like to be able to navigate between featured videos in the same category. Please advise. Thank you.

Most of the time this is caused by a third party plugin going wrong. The easiest way to troubleshoot this is to temporarily disable ALL plugins currently active on your site.
If the slider works as expected with all plugins disabled you can then re-enable your plugins one by one until things break again so you’ll know which one was the cause.
From there you can consider either ditching the problematic plugin or contacting its author/support for a possible fix.March 30, 2016 at 4:05 pm #16837HassanMarch 30, 2016 at 4:05 pmReply to: slide nav buttons not working
Ok, I’ve disabled all plugins as directed and the slider nav buttons still don’t work. Any other recommendations?

Just had a second closer look at your site, and there seem to be a warning that one of the script required to embed vimeo ( a.vimeocdn.com/js/froogaloop2.min.js ) doesn’t load properly over https. (I stopped at the broken js the first time and overlooked this warning – my bad!)
This is apparently a known issue with the vimeo player API (https://github.com/vimeo/player-api/issues/36), and the solution seems to be to load this script from another https URL.
I’m going to do a few tests and before including a fix for this in the next update.
In the meantime, you should be able to fix it on your end right away with these steps:
– Go to Appearance > Editor
– Edit functions.php (pick it from the list of files on the right)
– Use ctrl+f to find this line:
– Replace it with the following:
It should do the trick until we release a proper theme update with a complete fix.
With this issue being specific to vimeo embeds on sites using https, it hasn’t been spotted until now; so thank you for uncovering this glitch!March 30, 2016 at 4:47 pm #16839iceableMarch 30, 2016 at 4:47 pmReply to: slide nav buttons not working
