    Picture width is not enough

    Good day.
    When i get Blackoot Pro instead of Lite, i was hope that my blog post pictures gone wide (with wide mode enabled).
    I have installed Pro, turn Wide option ON, but my pictures still small 🙁
    They have original resolution 1024 by long side, but look smaller.
    Where’s a problem?

    Images hosted by Photobucket and transfer to the post via codelink. If i click on the image, it open in browser on Photobucket site with full size.

    My notebook have 14″ display with screen resolution 1366×768. I make a Printscreen for example, how i see it:
    http://i1081.photobucket.com/albums/j348/indifound/funnypics/sample_zps309c055f.jpg~original

    Very big right widget bar, and very small pictures.
    Here’s a link to the site: http://indifound.com/?p=80

    Can you help me make picture view like 1000px?

    And the second question. Can you upgrade functionality of Blackoot by this way: when user/reader click on the image in the post, image smootly enlarge by a full resolution (as it hosts on third-party storage) instead of going by imagelink, and on the second click smoothly reduce size back.

    Thanks.
    ps: i like Blackoot design, you made a good theme!

    Hello, and glad you managed to sort this out quickly! 🙂

    As for your second question:

    when user/reader click on the image in the post, image smootly enlarge by a full resolution (as it hosts on third-party storage) instead of going by imagelink, and on the second click smoothly reduce size back.

    This is a setting you can change when you add the image to your post content: you can either make it link to another page, to an external site or to the image itself – but these options are only available if you actually upload the image to your image library on your site. I don’t think photobucket will let you hotlink to the image file itself directly.

    Good day.
    Thanks for the answer on the second question. When i realize how to make pictures bigger (via turning off right sidebar in single post), enlarging by click is not necessery.

    But there’s another request.
    You’ve made possibility to turn off text transform for the menu, single post header, and sidebar, but not for blog index.
    I need post headers (in blog index) in normal case, please help me via custom code or theme update, if you can.

    Sure, just paste this into Appearance > Theme Options > Main Settings > Custom CSS:

    h3.entry-title { text-transform: none; }

    And thanks for pointing this out, I’ll consider adding this as an option in the next update 🙂

    Thanks man, now it’s work as i want!

    Some thoughts, if you ever made new updates. Maybe it’s not a bad idea for make an option to reduce space from left side in a single post, but save right sidebar. So the pictures go bigger when you get into that post, and sidebar is here.

    And for purpose of advertising, if the post belongs to some category (like Travels, etc), make possibility to link sidebar by name to this category. So then you get into the post with category Travel, sidebar with Travel theme advertising (banners, link) is displayed.
    Maybe my description is too complex because of poor english, but anyway, just an idea.

    ps: to the point, about photobucket – i think they distribute direct link, or maybe i’m wrong. Check this out:
    http://i1081.photobucket.com/albums/j348/indifound/Odessa/WP_20141121_013_zps99b98ea6.jpg~original
    this is direct?

    Or just go by link:
    http://s1081.photobucket.com/user/indifound/media/Odessa/WP_20141121_013_zps99b98ea6.jpg.html?o=16
    and look on the right sidebar in section SHARE LINK, is there right link for smooth enlargement?

    My friend with REALLY BIG tv and resolution ask me for a possibility for enlargement by click, because he sit on some distance from display, and 1000px is OK, but not perfect when picture has little details, like currency price etc 🙂

    Have a nice day!

    I do understand what you mean, and there are many free plugins that will let you do this exactly.
    For example https://wordpress.org/plugins/display-widgets/ adds options for each widget to be displayed or not on each page / post type / category archive / posts (by ID) etc.
    https://wordpress.org/plugins/widget-logic/ is even more powerful – it requires to use some conditional tags so it may not be easy to use for everyone but it allows to set even more advanced settings.

    This is not exactly what you described but it allows to get a similar result: instead of having several sidebars, you have one sidebar with many widgets but only some of them appear on a given page or post depending of their settings.

    Also if you search through the plugin directory you may find many other with similar features that may help.

    And about the images, I’m afraid you cannot do much more as long as you host them with a third party: the links will all redirect to a photobucket page. You can only get the lightbox (where the image enlarges when you click on it) to work if the image is actually hosted on your site.

    Good day!

    I have install new version of Blackoot Pro, and there’s some minor problem.
    Early, in previous version, i edit single.php template, in purpose of automatic add “social share buttons” in the end of all posts.

    But in the new version, when i add a code from http://share.pluso.ru in the single.php (and save template),
    i got blank white page every time, when i go into the post.

    Here’s code with “social buttons”. Maybe it’s not compatible with new version of Blackoot Pro, or i’ll ‘paste’ code into a wrong place of the temaplate??

    <script type="text/javascript">(function() {
      if (window.pluso)if (typeof window.pluso.start == "function") return;
      if (window.ifpluso==undefined) { window.ifpluso = 1;
        var d = document, s = d.createElement('script'), g = 'getElementsByTagName';
        s.type = 'text/javascript'; s.charset='UTF-8'; s.async = true;
        s.src = ('https:' == window.location.protocol ? 'https' : 'http')  + '://share.pluso.ru/pluso-like.js';
        var h=d[g]('body')[0];
        h.appendChild(s);
      }})();</script>
    <div class="pluso" data-background="transparent" data-options="big,round,line,horizontal,counter,theme=04" data-services="vkontakte,odnoklassniki,facebook,twitter,google,moimir,email,print"></div>

    Hello,

    I’m not sure where you are adding this in the file, but my first guess would be that you are adding this code in the middle of some php scripts; and since this is not php it breaks the script.

    If you close the script before your code and re-open it after it should fix it; basically just add these bits before and after your code:

    ?>

    YOUR CODE HERE

    <?php

    If you are still having issues please let me know exactly where you are adding this in the file and I’ll had a closer look and try to help you further.
