    "Bug" with the layout of bbpress

    Hi,

    I have noticed a layout problem with Boldr and bbpress (and also chooko, silverclean) : The left side of the forum is indented as a bulleted list.
    Only your “Wortex” theme doesn’t have this display problem.

    Do you have any solutions for that ?

    Thank you in advance for your answer.

    Hi, another user already mentioned some inconsistency with bbPress some time ago and I crafted some CSS code to improve visual compatibility (this will be built-in the next update).
    In the meantime, this simple line of CSS will fix the main “bullet list” issue:

    #bbpress-forums ul li { list-style: none; margin-left: 0; }

    And here is the whole code (still experimental) you may want to try to enhance BoldR/bbPress compatibility (just paste this into Appearance > Theme Options > Main Settings > Custom CSS):

    /* bbPress styling fix for BoldR Pro */
    #bbpress-forums ul li { list-style: none; margin-left: 0; }
    #bbpress-forums * { font-family: 'PT Sans'; }
    #bbpress-forums textarea,
    #bbpress-forums input,
    .bbpress #sidebar input,
    .bbp-form input { background: #F9F9F9 !important; color: #333; border: 1px solid #eee; }
    #bbpress-forums select { border: 1px solid #ddd; height: auto; padding: 0 5px!important; }
    #bbpress-forums button[type="submit"], .bbp-form button[type="submit"] { border: none; padding: 5px 10px; color: white; font-size: 15px; }
    #bbpress-forums button[type="submit"]:hover { background: #333; }
    #bbpress-forums #subscription-toggle { float: right; }
    .bbpress h1.page-title { padding: 0; margin-bottom: 10px; text-transform: none; border: none; }
    #bbpress-forums .bbp-forums-list li { display: block; }
    #bbpress-forums a.bbp-forum-title { font-size: 15px; line-height: 160%; color: #333; cursor: default; }
    .bbpress #sidebar ul li,
    .bbpress #sidebar > li dt,
    .bbpress #sidebar .button,
    .bbpress #sidebar > li form *,
    .bbp-form label { font-family: 'PT Sans'; text-transform: none; }

    .bbpress #sidebar label { width: 120px; }
    .bbpress #sidebar button,
    .bbpress #sidebar .button { border: none; padding: 5px 10px; color: white; font-size: 15px; }

    Thank you a lot, it works for me (just the first line of code, the whole code modifies a little bit the layout of bbPress => the subforums appear vertically in the forum’s home page, not in line).

    Thank you again !

    Hi!

    I’m having the same issue. However, both of the custom CSSs you’ve given here have one similar problem, it seems like all text is moved to the left side, out of the viewable forums-window. I’ve added some screenshots to show what I mean.

    Here’s the screenshots: http://imgur.com/a/szlx8

    Any advice? I’ve tried meddling with your custom CSS but I couldn’t fix this weird problem.
    Cheers!

    @Markus: Can you please post a link to your site?
    I can see the issue from the screenshot and I have an idea of what is going on, but I need to see the actual site to inspect the code to confirm and find exactly what you need to fix it.

    Thanks @Markus, having a live example made it a lot easier to see what was missing, it was actually a just text-indent to be added on the first line; here’s the fixed code to add to Custom CSS:

    /* bbPress styling fix for BoldR Pro */
    #bbpress-forums ul li { list-style: none; margin-left: 0; text-indent: 0; }
    #bbpress-forums * { font-family: 'PT Sans'; }
    #bbpress-forums textarea,
    #bbpress-forums input,
    .bbpress #sidebar input,
    .bbp-form input { background: #F9F9F9 !important; color: #333; border: 1px solid #eee; }
    #bbpress-forums select { border: 1px solid #ddd; height: auto; padding: 0 5px!important; }
    #bbpress-forums button[type="submit"], .bbp-form button[type="submit"] { border: none; padding: 5px 10px; color: white; font-size: 15px; }
    #bbpress-forums button[type="submit"]:hover { background: #333; }
    #bbpress-forums #subscription-toggle { float: right; }
    .bbpress h1.page-title { padding: 0; margin-bottom: 10px; text-transform: none; border: none; }
    #bbpress-forums .bbp-forums-list li { display: block; }
    #bbpress-forums a.bbp-forum-title { font-size: 15px; line-height: 160%; color: #333; cursor: default; }
    .bbpress #sidebar ul li,
    .bbpress #sidebar > li dt,
    .bbpress #sidebar .button,
    .bbpress #sidebar > li form *,
    .bbp-form label { font-family: 'PT Sans'; text-transform: none; }
    .bbpress #sidebar label { width: 120px; }
    .bbpress #sidebar button,
    .bbpress #sidebar .button { border: none; padding: 5px 10px; color: white; font-size: 15px; }

    Let me know if you find any other glitch and I’ll make sure to adjust it further if needed!
